Step By Step – Designing your email with the email builder
Take a look at the step by step instructions below on how to design your own email using the drag-and-drop email builder:
Start with the email settings.
Set the width of your email along with default background and content area colours.
Set a default font and link colour for your email.
Drag and drop the row structure elements. This is where you can select from different layouts for your email content.
Change the colour of the row and content backgrounds of the structured content.
Options include changing the padding and adding borders to the different columns.
3. Content Options
Drag and drop the different content elements into the structured areas.
Add text, images, buttons, dividers and social links to your email design.

Drag and drop the ‘Text’ box to add a new section for text. Type in your text, and you will see a pop-up appear at the top of the text box.
Set different options here such as font, size, bold, italic etc, alignment, bullets, colours, add links and more. You can also use ‘ Merge Tags’ to add in personalisation.
Using the right-hand pane – select the different options for your text box such as text colour, link colour, line height and padding options
Drag and drop the ‘Image’ box to add a new section for text. Click the ‘Browse’ option to select the image you want to place in the section.
This takes you to the ‘File Manager’ where you can upload a new image or choose one you have already uploaded into the library. Click the ‘+’ sign to add into your email.
Using the right-hand pane – select the different options for your image such as alignment, Alt text, Image link, padding and more.
Drag and drop the ‘button’ box to add a new button in your email. Edit the text that appears on your button by clicking and changing the text.
The button text options will appear in a pop-up above the button. Here you can set different fonts, sizes, and set other options such as bold, italics, underline etc.
Using the right-hand pane – select the different options for your button such as the URL it should link to, background & text colours, padding, borders and more.
Drag and drop the ‘divider’ box to add a new divider in your email. A divider is a break or a line within your email to section off different content.
You can add a solid line, a dotted line or a dashed line to break up your sections. Here we have used a dotted line.
Using the right-hand pane – select the different options for your divider such as style, size, colour, width, padding and alignment.
The final content type you can drag and drop into your design is ‘social’. These are for your social media links to add into your email.
There are multiple style options for the social media links, so you can choose one that suits your email style. There are coloured, grey, white and black options (square or round).
